UPM BioVerno diesel story – produced by European Commission
European Commission recognised UPM Biofuels as the winner of the EU Sustainable Energy Europe Awards 2014 in the “Travelling” category for its crude tall oil based renewable UPM BioVerno diesel. They also filmed the project in Finland! UPM BioVerno was recognised for the innovative approach in using the residue of UPM’s own pulp production, crude tall oil, as a new raw material for the production of advanced biofuels to lower greenhouse gas emissions.
