Press Release 3.12.2015 14:15 EET

(UPM, Helsinki, 3 December 2015 at 14:15 EET) - The Finnish Market Court has made a decision on an infringement suit filed by Neste against UPM. According to the ruling, the process used at the UPM Lappeenranta Biorefinery is not within the scope of Neste's patent (FI 100248) and thus UPM does not infringe Neste's patent.

UPM Biofuels' business and the deliveries of wood-based UPM BioVerno diesel, based on UPM's own innovation, will continue as usual.
